WWE is the place most commonly associated with relationships starting as they have had the most wrestlers under contract and have been around the longest in our lifetime.
On-screen couples are quite common in WWE, as the company loves to have romantic angles from time to time. In every era of WWE, there have been some popular on-screen couples who have fallen in love for the sake of history alone.
However, sometimes kayfabe romance can turn into real romance. Being on the road for most of the year and after working together for months, even years, can lead some on-screen couples to take their TV romance into real life. Therefore, many on-screen couples ended up dating or getting married in real life.

Fans will always wonder about the reality behind the couples on screen as it was made easy to see it play out that way. WWE doesn’t shy away from showcasing their partners if the talents involved want them to show up. Even more couples in WWE history have walked the tightrope between merging their real life with television.
13/13 the miz and maryse
The first interactions between The Miz and Maryse occurred on WWE television. Miz was spending more time as a mid-up heel and tried to make Maryse fall for him. Even though they were both rough, Maryse was often unimpressed and shut him up.
WWE teased the idea of them being an on-screen fixture, but they eventually changed their minds. Maryse managed Ted DiBiase, who needed a manager, and Miz was on his own. However, Miz and Maryse began dating around this time in real life. The couple is now happily married with children and appears on WWE TV whenever Maryse returns.
12/13 tyson kidd and natalya
Tyson Kidd grew up around the Hart family and is considered a member. Natalya and Tyson have been best friends since childhood and pursued wrestling drama together. WWE placed them in the same Hart Dynasty faction with David Hart Smith.
The three wrestlers were one pack for months until Natalya got her own opportunities again. Total Divas exposed the real relationship that had been going on between Kidd and Natalya all along. WWE made their relationship a part of their act soon after when Natalya pulled off a rough Tyson.
11/13 Brock Lesnar and Saber
The relationship between Brock Lesnar and Sable technically began in a story. Brock, who turned heel in 2003, placed him in Vince McMahon’s inner circle when he had an on-screen affair with Sable.
There was a little teasing of Lesnar flirting with Sable, but nothing came of it other than being on the same side. WWE was shocked to find out that Lesnar started dating Sable towards the end of their careers. Both chose to leave the company, and Sable has never returned despite Lesnar being a big deal these days.
10/13 CM Punk and AJ Lee
In 2012, AJ Lee was in the character of a crazy girl and dated various male superstars on the screen. She was paired with the likes of Kane, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and CM Punk.
But CM Punk and AJ Lee weren’t just on screen; they also started dating in real life. They eventually got engaged and married in 2014. By the way, CM Punk was also fired from WWE on his wedding day.
9/13 randy wild and miss elizabeth
Macho Man Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth were arguably the most popular couple on screen in the Gilded Age. Their chemistry on TV was unerring and the fans loved them. But they weren’t the only couple for television.
Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth were also a couple off screen, which is why the couple had such great chemistry. Savage married his on-screen manager in 1984 and divorced in 1992.
8/13 Triple H and Stephanie McMahon
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are known as WWE’s power couple, both on screen and off. They became an on-screen couple in the McMahon-Helmsley era. It was around the same time that they also started dating in real life.
The Game and The Billion Dollar Princess were married in history when Triple H tricked Stephanie into marrying him in Las Vegas. But a few years later, they walked down the aisle in real life. The couple is still going strong and they have three children together.
7/13 daniel bryan and brie bella
In 2010, The Bella Twins were in a story with Daniel Bryan. The twins fought for the attention of Daniel Bryan. Brie, along with Nikki, accompanied Daniel Bryan to ring during his matches. They even had a segment, where The Bella Twins kissed Daniel Bryan in the ring.
Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan later started dating behind the curtain and got engaged in 2013. The couple married in 2014. They are still happy together and have two children.
6/13 rusev and lana
Rusev debuted as a powerhouse under the supervision of his manager, Lana. They both had Russian tricks, and were the conventional foreign heels. But the duo became more than just an on-screen couple.
They started dating while Lana was representing Rusev on television. In 2016, Lana and Rusev got married and are still together. Rusev currently wrestles in AEW under the ring name Miro.
5/13 Goldust and Marlena / Terri Runnels
Goldust and Marlena were an iconic screen couple in the mid to late 1990s. Marlena or Terri Runnels certainly complemented Goldust’s gimmick. With their actions, they made many fans uncomfortable in the arena or on television.
Despite having unconventional tricks, they made it work thanks to their chemistry. Goldust and Marlena were a married couple and their marriage lasted six years.
4/13 test and stacy keibler
Test and Stacy Keibler formed an on-screen couple in 2002. The stunning blonde also became an image consultant for the former Intercontinental Champion to make a change in his personality and appearance. Test and Stacy had a good run as a couple, especially when the former fell out with Scott Steiner.
During this collaboration, the couple was not just an on-screen couple. Stacy Keibler and Test started dating in 2001. They continued to date for four years until they broke up in 2005. After their relationship, Test also dated Kelly Kelly until her unfortunate death in 2009.
3/13 John Morrison and Melina
Melina began managing John Morrison early in his WWE career. She was the manager of MNM, which consisted of John Morrison, Joey Mercury, and Melina herself. By the way, when John Morrison and Melina were paired up on screen, they also began to see each other in real life.
Their relationship in real life lasted 11 long years. However, it was not a stable relationship because they had an on-and-off relationship during this tenure. Their relationship hit rock bottom when Melina allegedly had an affair with Batista in real life.
2/13 cass and carmela
Carmella is currently married to RAW commentator Corey Graves. She but she was previously in a relationship with former WWE Superstar Big Cass when the latter was in WWE. Her relationship was also shown publicly in ‘total divas‘.
The couple’s love life began after they were paired up on screen. Carmella led the team of Enzo Amore and Cass on the brand of development until an eventual split on screen and in real life.
1/13 alexa bliss and friend murphy
Alexa Bliss and Buddy Murphy were paired up on NXT. While Buddy Murphy teamed up with Wesley Black, Alexa Bliss directed them. The relationship between Alexa Bliss and Buddy Murphy also began to form off screen.
After meeting in NXT and working together, the duo began dating. They even got engaged but broke up in 2018. Bliss recently married singer Ryan Cabrera.
