Zendaya and Tom recently caused a stir on social media after various rumors about their engagement made the rounds on the internet. For the uninitiated, the Pop Hive Twitter account posted a photo of the lovebirds along with the message: ‘Tom Holland and Zendaya are reportedly engaged!’
While the account does not appear to have shared any further information about the alleged compromise, the post received more than 47,000 retweets and 552,000 likes. However, Zendaya’s mother, Claire Stoermer, appears to have addressed rumors that her daughter is engaged to Tom Holland after speculation spread on social media. Claire has apparently denied the rumor after posting a message about ‘clickbait’ on her Instagram story.
Zendaya’s mother’s post began: “Clickbait generally refers to the practice of writing sensational or misleading headlines to attract clicks on content.” She added: “It often relies on exaggerated claims or omitting key information to drive traffic. The term is generally used in a derogatory sense. Pop Hive’s tweet came a few days after Us Weekly reported that the pair were in “stable mode.”
Tom Holland and Zendaya relationship
For those of you who don’t know, Tom Holland and Zendaya met on the set of spiderman: homecoming in 2016, but they didn’t hook up as a couple until the summer of 2021. The Spider-Man actors were first linked when they were spotted kissing inside a car last summer in July. However, after crossing paths and working together on the latest Spider-Man franchise, both Zendaya and Tom became good friends before becoming romantically involved.
Despite their busy schedules, the happy couple tries to find time to be together. While Tom was filming scenes for The Crowded Room this year in New York City, Zendaya was photographed stopping by and visiting him on set. Additionally, the actress recently won an Emmy Award for her portrayal of Rue in the HBO Max series Euphoria.
During an interview with E! News shortly after giving her heartfelt acceptance speech, the star was asked who was the first person she texted after receiving the honor. Tom Holland and Zendaya usually go out of their way to honor each other on social media.
