Chris Pratt reveals he was stung in the eye by a bee

Chris Pratt revealed that he was stung in the eye by a bee. The Guardian Of The Galaxy recently took to their social media and shared a short video. Pratt explained how he was inspired by videos of Texas Bee Works beekeeper Erika Thompson. The video begins with him wearing black sunglasses and then explains how he has been inspired by Thompson’s videos.

Apparently, the Guardians of the Galaxy star took that inspiration a bit too far, resulting in a hideous sting to her left eye, prompting Thompson to leave a hilarious comment. In the video, the actor shared, “So I’ve been following this bee lady on Instagram. She’s so cool and brave and she goes in front of these bee hives and says, ‘They’re very quiet today.’

Pratt added: “I’m going to remove the bee. I am going to use my bare hands to search out the bees and look for the queen.” The Guardian Of The Galaxy star added that the videos of her have “built this false sense of security in me, even though I said, ‘I think I can control the bees, too.'” She added: “So I saw a hive two days ago. And I went over there and the man next to me said, ‘Hey, look out, there are bees,’ and I said, ‘These bees look very calm.’

Pratt continued: “And I kept looking at these bees and one of them came out and stung me on the eyeball,” Pratt said, before removing his sunglasses to reveal his swollen left eye. “So anyway, f**k that lady bee,” Pratt said, concluding the video. However, alongside the video, the actor wrote in the caption: “@texasbeeworks you inspire me! But really though…”

Thompson also responded with a humorous comment, referring to him playing Mario in The Super Mario Bros. movie, which hits theaters on April 7. “Wait, so now you’re going to be a plumber and beekeeper @prattprattpratt?” Thomson began. “If you let me and other professionals save the bees, you can focus on saving the princess, Mario,” he added in the comment, which garnered more than 4,700 likes.

Pratt returned as Peter Quill in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which debuted on Disney Plus in November. He will also reprise that same role in the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which hits theaters on May 5, 2023. The actor will also be voicing the beloved cartoon cat Garfield in a new animated film, whose premiere is scheduled for May 24, 2024.
