Tom Sizemore, Actor in Saving Private Ryan and ‘Heat,’ Dies at 61

Tom Sizemore, known for his performances in blockbusters like Heat, Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down, died Friday at a Los Angeles hospital. He was 61 years old.

The actor had been in intensive care for two weeks following a brain aneurysm on February 18. He had been hospitalized in critical condition and has remained in a coma and in intensive care ever since.

Tom Sizemore’s manager, Charles Lago, told TMZ: “It is with great sadness and pain that I have to announce that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore (“Tom Sizemore”) passed away peacefully at the age of 61 in his sleep today at St Joseph’s Hospital Burbank. . His brother Paul and his twins Jayden and Jagger (17) were next to him”.

Sizemore’s acting career spans over 35 years and he is best known for action films and crime dramas, including Saving Private Ryan, Heat, Black Hawk Down, True Romance, Natural Born Killers, Devil in a Blue Dress, The Hallows.

She is survived by her 17-year-old twin sons, Jayden and Jagger.
