Christoph Waltz and Sam Neill will work together on the Australian fantasy adventure film called The Portable Door. The filmmakers released a trailer for the film and it tells the story of an intern Paul Carpenter (Patrick Gibson) who starts working at the mysterious company JW Wells & Co, run by Humphrey Wells and Dennis Tanner.
The secret organization arranges matches, alters faith and makes people fall in love. The trailer then reveals the magical portable gate that can transport people anywhere in the world. While the possibilities with this gate are endless, so is the danger. The fantasy adventure film is adapted from Tom Holt’s seven-book fantasy series of the same name.
The film also stars Miranda Otto as Countess Judy, Damon Herriman as Monty Smith-Gregg, Sophie Wilde as Sophie Pettingel, Sam Neill as Dennis Tanner, Jessica De Gouw as Rosie Tanner, Rachel House as Nienke Van Spee, Patrick Gibson as Paul Carpenter, and Christopher Sommers as Arthur Tanner Goblin.
The Portable Door is directed by Australian actor and filmmaker Jeffrey Walker, director of many TV series and movies. Produced by Todd Fellman and Blanca Lista, The Portable Door will be released in theaters in Australia and the United Kingdom from April 7, 2023.
